Hi everyone, welcome to my blog. Today I’ll be talking about food that’s not only good for your insides but is also good for your largest organ, the skin. As you know, collagen is what makes your skin beautiful. When a baby is born, it’s born with a surplus of collagen, but as we age, collagen production gets less and less. Red food, such a red capsicums, tomatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes, avocados, almonds (high in rich fatty acids and vitamin E that your skin loves), vitamin C such as kiwi fruit, lemons, limes, oranges, blueberries, black beans, chickpeas. Omega 3 such as fish, flax seed (milled) and chia seeds. Avocado oil is also very good to be used topically on your skin as is organic coconut oil. In fact, I like to use avocado oil when I’m doing massage on my clients. A lot of you will be revealed to hear that dark chocolate, not milk chocolate, is high in antioxidants too. If you can bear its smell and flavour, you may have to hold your breath, collagen powder is very good too. It’s not a bad idea to wash it all down with green tea, with is another great antioxidant.
